After four years working in the Ehrlich administration, I have many wonderful photos of me and the Governor -- this is one of my favorites

Oldies, but Goodies

Delegate Kittleman, with Chuck Ecker who was County Executive of Howard County for 8 years and then became the Superintendent of Schools in Carroll County for the next 10 years
Kendel Ehrlich earned as much respect and admiration as her husband, and served Maryland well as First Lady. Sandy Schraeder and I enjoy knowing her.
Running the MarylandTransportation Authority was a great experience . . . and led to some interesting opportunities . . .
Of the 1,800 people who worked for the Authority, 450 of them were sworn police officers. Here, I'm helping to congratulate a new class of officers.
I'm introducing "Pace Your Space" to the press. Pace Your Space was one of our safety efforts on the Bay Bridge. Flourescent pink markers were spaced every 150 feet, showing drivers how much space to keep between cars.
Getting to drive an MTA bus in the annual MTA Rodeo was fabulous fun.
As head of the Authority, I had the privilege of leading the 2005 Bay Bridge Walk along with Governor Ehrlich
Now HERE'S something I never expected to be doing -- lying under a big rig to look for safety issues. My police force trained me right!
As part of our efforts to lessen the Bay Bridge traffic on weekends, we partnered with the Civil Air Patrol. Their pilots needed flying time, and we were looking for up to the minute traffic flow status across the Bay Bridge. The Air Patrol pilots flew along the Bay Bridge route and reported traffic status to our BAYSPAN operators. It was a win-win.
After a SUPER effort by the whole Authority team, the construction to redeck the Bay Bridge was successful. The Governor honored the staff and Sharon Leckowitz, Bridge Administrator
Working with Police Chief Gary McIlhenney was a pleasure. Gov. Ehrlich appreciated all of the State's law enforcement officers.
Ceremonies are also a part of the job as MDOT's Deputy Secretary
Ribbon Cutting ceremonies always need your presence, as you play an important part in moving things forward.
I represented MDOT at this celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Eisenhower's National System of Interstate and Defense Highways
This ribbon cutting ceremony celebrated not only the Bay Bridge Walk, but the completion of the redecking in time for summer travel.
Ehrlich's Greatest Achievement: the InterCounty Connector (ICC)
This is what you call a REAL ground breaking! At least I got to keep the shovel commemorating the first step in constructing the ICC
Bob, Jeff, Mark and I are standing on the first phase of the ICC ready to be opened to the public. SHA hosted a celebration of it's completion in the middle of the pavement, just before the 50-year-in-the-making highway was opened.
